How far can you go?
How deep do you claim your love is? How far can you go just for the one you love? Do you believe that person you love is worth the trouble you are going through? Do you think love makes you wiser or dumber? I dont know because I have never gotten entangled in those nets of love. I always think am that clever fish who swims out of the net before it gets too late. Another reason is because I think using my brain and not my heart. Even the Bible says the heart is a deceiver.
A story is told of a certain lady who did alot in search for what she thoguht was love. I will call the lady Linda. Linda attended her mother's funeral in a small city near our home. During the burial and amidst tears her eyes caught a gentleman who was right beside her. For a simple description the guy was hot. Hot enough to make a mourner become a fantasizer right on the spot. Anyway in short he looked like all Linda could want in a man. She promised herself to talk to her later on. Unfortunately, the guy (let me call him Mr. R) left before Linda could talk to him.
Linda spent many days thinking about this guy. Eventually, she got a bright idea. She decided to murder her only sister. Her logic was that since that guy (Mr. R) knew of her mum's death and showed up at the funeral chances were that he coud also show up at her sister's funeral. She went ahead and killed her dear sister. True to her thoughts Mr. R came to the funeral. This time she did not waste any chance. She made sure Mr. R was beside him.
After the burial she went back home with him. She unlleashed a bottle of wine and after she had had one too many she was generous with information. She kept on telling Mr. R how her eyes had caught him during her mum's burial. She went ahead to say how she had murdered her sister just to get to see him again.
After two days Mr. R knocked her door. She was happy to see him but the smile was eroded by the Police badge that Mr. R raised to her face. She ended up in prison for first degree murder. Love had ruined her life.
Many times in our lives we enter pitfalls in the name of love. We get inebrated by it that our senses are clouded and we can no longer act right. We even say love is blind yet we claim we can see the beauty in our spouses. Many sacrifices are made but the important question we overlook is : is it worth it? Do they deserve it. Statements like I would die for you sounds stupid because if you die for that person wont she be left lonely? Before you decide how far you can go for your love think twice....have a blessed love life.
